This is an interesting species that grows in Peru, Venezuela, Columbia and Bolivia. It grows in warm to cool conditions and seems to thrive in heavy shade in our greenhouse with temperatures from 65 to 85 degrees. There are several reclassifications to this plant and some synonms are Pleurothallis hemirhoda or Pleurothallis nuda. At this time we are going to continue to call it what it came to us labeled as. Regardless of what it’s called, it’s a cool medium sized Pleurothallis that blooms multiple times a year from the base of the leafs.
