Growing Information:
Light: Bright indirect light to partial shade. Avoid direct sunlight which can scorch the delicate leaves. East-facing windows or shaded greenhouse conditions are ideal. 1,500-2,000 foot-candles recommended.
Temperature: Intermediate to warm conditions. Daytime temperatures of 70-85°F (21-29°C) with nighttime temperatures of 60-70°F (15-21°C). Appreciates a 10-15°F temperature drop at night to encourage blooming.
Humidity: High humidity essential, 60-80% preferred. Excellent candidate for terrariums, humidity trays, or regular misting. Good air circulation is critical to prevent fungal issues.
Watering:Keep consistently moist but never waterlogged. Water when the medium approaches dryness but before it completely dries out. Reduce watering slightly during cooler months while maintaining humidity.
Potting: Mount on cork, tree fern, or grow in small pots with fine-grade bark mix, sphagnum moss, or a combination. Excellent mounted specimen that displays the fan-shaped growth beautifully. Repot only when necessary as roots are sensitive to disturbance.
Fertilizing: Feed weekly with diluted orchid fertilizer at 1/4 strength during active growth. Reduce to monthly during winter rest period. Flush medium monthly to prevent salt buildup.
Blooming:Typically blooms in spring to summer when mature. Flowers may appear multiple times per year under optimal conditions. Temperature differential and consistent care encourage reliable blooming.
Each plant is personally inspected and shipped directly from our Hawaii orchid farm, ensuring you receive a healthy, quality specimen ready to thrive in your collection.
